hooray, I want the star but I still want to keep the 'superstar' title. I wish we could make our own titles, that's would be tons of fun. And I also want albummaster to include the Texas flag as a choice for nations, it's kind of its own place

I might as well wade into this mire as well. I consider several of Dylan's albums to be greatest albums ever. I do not consider his vocals or his guitar playing to be masterful but they are uniquely identifiable. Some people find Dylan's voice to be whiny and irritating. If you can accept or appreciate Lou Reed's, Jeff Mangum's, Tom Waits' or Thom Yorke's singing then accepting or appreciating Bob Dylan's vocals should be easy. Many of his lyrics are brilliant and timeless. Most important though is context. Dylan wrote and sang those words and played that music at a crucial time and he was at the forefront of a cultural revolution. That is why I consider him and his music great. I very rarely play any of his albums today though because I am usually listening to and enjoying new releases from young artists and hoping to occasionally discover a culture maker in the context of now. Frankly, I'm not sure that there are any at this moment!

Four chords may be an understatement, but the album is still rather simple to play and his musical ability is nothing ground breaking. For you to assume that I even play guitar hero is dumb as well. You have made yourself look like a prick claiming that you play guitar and no one else here does, therefore you are somehow special. Get in line with the rest of the wannabees. Wait let me figure your response "I don't play to become famous man, I just do it for the passion. And Bob Dylan put together some chords and wow is it difficult to play" Well you're wrong, and if you think it is difficult then I would challenge your skill level and you're ability to play. I'm not expert by any means, but to somehow imply that Bob Dylan is a great guitarist and does not get any recognition is ridiculous.

As far as songwriting goes, Bob Dylan may be the best ever. Listen to his words, don't focus on his voice. Thing about the 60s is, it's not just the Beatles that were good. There was also Hendrix, the Who, Beach Boys, Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, etc.

And there's probably a hell of a lot more that I've forgotten.
