Apple TV is just killing it lately! Pluribus, Widows Bay and now Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed are all Must See Tv!!! 🥰

Add in Severance and Slow Horses and no other streamer is coming close to their content!

If I had to choose between HBO or Apple, I'd probably choose Apple.

Any word on the upcoming Supergirl movie? I'm really hoping it's both good AND successful.

It premiered on BBC, and then Netflix acquired deals to distribute the show worldwide, like Madhattanjack said earlier.
II think the movie "The Immortal Man" will be mainly available on Netflix. II wonder how it will turn out to be.

Finally completed the Marathon that is The Walking Dead and not disappointed with the ending. I can see now how the shoot offs fit into the narrative.

Now started Daryl Dixon (my favourite WD character) and feels like it might be a winner based on the first episode.

Me too, but the series comes from the BBC and was later picked up by Netflix — HBO had nothing to do with it. Also, HBO stopped making top-quality television a few months back. (We'll have to see if they resume at some point!)

I'm not sure if this is true but Apparently my grandmother knew members of the Birmingham (or Brummagem) Boys, the actual gang that Peaky Blinders is based on. The Peakies themselves were a real gang but a low level one but I suspect that Steven Knight, quite rightly, thought that Peaky Blinders had more of a ring to it.

Agree, nice to binge sometimes. Yes, can't see Breaking Bad set anywhere else. Just works very well like it is.

Mammoth yes, but been an enjoyable quest though.

I streamed the first 15 minutes of Dan Curtis’s 1991 reboot of Dark Shadows, starring Ben Cross as Barnabas the vampire.
Pretty disappointing so far. The original 1960s/70’s show is my second ever favourite TV show. Just behind the British show Only Fools and Horses.
But I will at least watch the first episode.

finally settled on watching The Count of Monte Cristo (2024 TV series), enjoying it so far and fairly true to the book. Most other dramatizations I've seen go too far off piste, so cross fingers...
