We've had this discussion before I'm sure, and it would be kind of cool, but I'd like it more for replying to comments on album or band pages. We kind of have this etiquette system where when you post on someone's chart they respond by posting on yours, as Brandon pointed out, and that makes a lot of sense because I'm way more likely to check my chart and see your reply than check yours to see your reply.

I would like to see this. It could work like the facebook system where the replies don't show up unless you click a "show replies" button or something like that.

Also do you know what "tedious" means

It would look a bit cluttered without the show/hide replies, but that's what that feature would be for.

We should have a comment replying system. I find it really annoying to type @(username) to reply to someone that comments on my chart or gives me a recommendation. Is there any way we can implement this?
