I'd probably go completely pants on head crazy if I listened to this constantly. I guess I would have a much more interesting life as a crazy person listening to this constantly than a sane person listening to Exile On Main St constantly.

I was thinking along the same lines but I'd push the boat out and pick William Basinski's Disintegration Loops, just to see how long I'd last.

P.S. I would most definitely miss the song named "Dam* Right" from his Sunset Man album though because it is my most favorite song from him period.

It'd have to be something I could basically listen to whatever mood I was in, and with a lot of variety; probably The Books - The Way Out. Lots of mellow tracks but also some pretty aggressive ones, and it's sort of uplifting and soul-nourishing and fun at the same time.

If I just accept the question at face value without trying to dispute its consequences, I can either cheat and say I want Bach's cello suites or Beethoven's late string quartets or make the really hard choice and settle on... idk, Roforofo Fight by Fela Kuti? A varied sonic palette that satisfies most moods without being so pastiche-y as to get trite and with enough pop sensibility to always be enticing.

I feel like I would choose an album today and feel good about my choice, but the next day I would regret it forever. So today's choice would probably be Hospice by the Antlers because that album has an undeniable ability to crush my soul, which is cool. But even as I type this I feel like I would want something else. So yeah, this question is basically pure evil.

Hm...I have no idea which album I listened to the most. Most albums I like are kind of specific to certain feelings, so this is tricky. I'm actually inclined to say Souvlaki by Slowdive, even though it recently fell out of my top ten (not that that means anything, a good chunk of my top albums are interchangeable)
It seems a good mix of sadness and poppiness. Though perhaps Fever Ray would do just as well in that regard. Yeah, it most definitely would, so I'm going with Fever Ray by Fever Ray, since I do prefer it to Souvlaki ever so slightly.

Move on to what? You only get the "1 album" there is no "future of music" any more, there is only the past.

if you are conceding that you might have to stop listening for "months and maybe even years" why bother with having it there at all? I admit, after all that time, im sure it would be AMAZING to have that re-connection. I'm not sure I could trust myself to have an album (espicially one that i connect with) and just not listen to it for years at a time.

and I'd probably pick something like music for airports or thursday afternoon. I guess? something you couldnt get sick of. maybe I should just pick pet sounds.
