2010's quickly becoming one of my favourite years in music, though I've probably only scratched the surface of what it has to offer. There're three 2010 albums in my top 15 of all time as of right now :

Beneath This Burning Shoreline by Cherry Ghost

Chamber / baroque pop. Intensely beautiful, and note perfect from beginning to end.

Blood Like Lemonade by Morcheeba

Morcheeba have had a chequered career to say the least. 1998's 'Big Calm' was a fine album, but the other five of their first six LPs didn't come anywhere near it. When I heard that their original vocalist Skye Edwards had returned for the band's seventh album, though, my interest was piqued, and 'Blood Like Lemonade' was the year's big surprise for me (what's been even more surprising is how often I've returned to it in the three-and-a-half years since).

Light Shape Sound by Miracle Bell

Electropop brilliance from three guys in their early '20s. The band's stated influences are Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Beach Boys, Klaxons and Friendly Fires, and the album kind of comes off as Duran playing Depeche's instruments with the other influences coming through via the vocal harmonies and percussion sounds.
