Exceptional record by a fascinating artist, her best. Note that if you're not familiar with Nordenstam's overall work, none of her albums actually sounds like the next, this is the barest, stripped down folk collection in her discography.

Her other albums are well worth checking out, the closest to this one is probably the much darker (and sometimes terrifying) Dynamite (1996). Here is an extract:

This was how she was looking at the time of this release
Stina is pretty fantastic, and the airy sort of dreamy pop thing always seems to make me liken it to Nina Persson's work with The Cardigans for some reason. Not quite sure why, but it's there.
This being literally my third favorite album of all time, I don't know if there's anything else to say than LISTEN TO IT if you haven't. Incredibly delicate dream folk (not sure if it's a genre, it should be though). I'll never be able to thank Norman enough for that.

I'd say dream folk exists, even if it officially doesn't, since there are a few albums I'd call dream folk (like, Dragging a Dead Deer up a Hill by Grouper or even Giles Corey).

Anyways, yes, this album is incredible. Crime is my favourite track, for some reason. Very lovely. It has probably been on the tail end of my chart before, but as I say sometimes, most albums have been on my chart at some point. XD
