Excellent debut album from one of the most important bands of all time. However, I have always wondered why they have set a opening track quite slow and heartfelt song (Tears Of Rage).

Just listened to this again 2 nights ago. Really quality album. I love "The Band" their second album far more. Their 2nd album is almost on my chart.

Phenomenal album. Richard Manuel's vocal on "I Shall Be Released" is the most beautiful of the rock era.

Love this album. "I Shall Be Released" is one of my favorite songs of all time and The Band's version of it is so beautiful. That song has always clicked with me.

The rest of the album is great too, I've always loved The Band and I feel like this is The Band at their Bandy-est.
