Albums like this very likely had some influence on Arcade Fire, but I think Funeral would have been a success either way.

This still goes hard, deserves its acclaim. Maybe not top 10 worthy but it's one of the best rock LPs of the 00ss, Laika and Power Out bump.

Sure one of the best of its decade. But nowhere near greatest ever. It's just not original enough for one thing. It's pretty. That's the most important thing about it. Listen to Bitte Orca. Now that's a remarkable record. Much more interesting than Funeral. Just as an example.
