For some reason, this album always hits different than the rest of Bowie’s. I think in essence it’s his most Bowie album, but in turn that makes it his least Bowie album. It’s a killer album, and the guitars on this are some of the best he’s ever employed. The first half is so superb, especially with Ashes to Ashes and the title track.
