My favorite MMJ album and one of my favorite albums ever. Everything works perfectly on this album, literally not a bad track, everyone's in top form. This is the album that made me fall in love with Jim James.

One of the best of the 2000s. It should be on my own 2000s chart. Gonna fix that right now. Very Happy

One of the best of the 2000s, one of the best of all-time, etc.

Not my favorite My Morning Jacket album (that would be It Still Moves), but that's not really relevant as this is one of the best.

Even though this has gotten all kinds of critical acclaim, is rated quite favorably here, and is widely considered to be the strongest release from My Morning Jacket, I feel like Z has been a bit forgotten, which is a shame. This is a near perfect album that feels so fresh and inventive, even a decade later. Hell, I still jam out to that fucking legendary solo in the second half of "Lay Low" like it's no one's business. Amazing album.

Track picks
1. Wordless Chorus
2. It Beats 4 U
3. Gideon
5. Off The Record
8. Lay Low
10. Dondante

Given my situation, I guess it's time to give this album another shot Wink
