Fun album from the Davies brothers and their band. It's probably my second favorite album by the Kinks, right behind Something Else. This one has two of my favorite Kinks songs, "Lola" and "Apeman". If you've never heard this one, check it out!

Fantastic album!
I'm a huge Kinks fan and this one sits at #2 for me, right behind Village Green Preservation Society.

Part of what makes this album so great is the deep cuts. To be perfectly honest, I don't really care if I ever hear 'Lola' again, but I never tire of 'Rats', 'Apeman', 'Powerman' and 'Got to Be Free.' This is an album that really finishes strong.

Love this album... Are any of their albums released after this any good?

For me, the answer is yes. They did indeed release a few albums after this that were quite good.

Not nearly as good as this one, mind you, but still quite good. Most Kinks albums up through about 1984 had something to cheer about even if they weren't as brilliant as the ones from this era.
