The Seventh Seal. I'm not a historical drama person, but the mood is perfect and Sydow is incredible.

It's a hard question for me to answer to be honest, I just don't really know what's outside my comfort zone, I grew up with my dad's action/western collection, worked my way through most of the 'classics' once I had functioning internet (plus my cousin lent me his hard drive which was stocked to the brim with them), always read comic books so I'm a sucker for most of the Marvel universe and a bunch of other superhero and related stuff and then got dragged to loads of random stuff by my other half who's been involved in acting and has a tendency to pick stuff I wouldn't otherwise hear about, maybe horror I guess if I had to pick a genre? But at the same time there's still a bunch of horror stuff I love.

Speaking of Bergman though I must say that Sawdust and Tinsel is my favourite currently, though I've got a few gaps in his filmography to fill.

I watched The Seventh Seal last night for the first proper time. Coincidence.

I'd seen it decades ago, or so I thought, late at night but I must have fallen asleep back then, cuz I remembered hardly any of it.

It had the English dubbing which was great but I put subtitles on as well.

It really is a marvellous film.

Last year I watched Persona, Smiles of a Summer Night and Fanny and Alexander, the 3-hour version.

Next up I wanna watch Wild Strawberries.

I am normally not into horror films, but one of my most favorite actors is in one named Come Back To Me and so I love that one. Matt Passmore is his name. Smile Smile Smile

God bless you and him always!!!

Metropolis. I'm not a 20's or dystopia type, but the filmmaking was so imcredible that I was seriously considering calling it the greatest sci-fi movie ever. Btw, there's a great wmv on Vimeo of clips from the movie playing to Roisin Murphy's "Ramalama Bang Bang."
