Probably shouldn't be the number 1 rated Nick Cave album, but it's incredible nonetheless.
Into My Arms or There Is A Kingdom will be played when I'm dead. For sure.

Agreed with everything said here. It's in his top 5 definitely, and could've been his best if it didn't drag just a little bit near the end.
Out of curiosity, what do you think his best album is? _________________ All time

Yeah, it's a great record, but I think it's only their 6th-7th best for me. I've always found it weird it's our #1 Cave. I understand people have their preferences, but it feels oddly incorrect . It's like if Animals was our top ranked by Pink Floyd.
Let Love In, Murder Ballads, The Good Son or Skeleton Tree all seem like better top choices. Tender Prey's up there too, but maybe not #1.

I'd say Abbatoir Blues/ Lyre of Orpheus, Skeleton Tree, and Murder Ballads are all better plus maybe a few others.

For some reason, I've always rated it in his bottom 5. No More Shall We Part did a better job of showing how good his piano work and tender ballads are. It's still a great record though, Are You The One is one of his best singles. _________________ Overall chart

I don't like Murder Ballads that much, don't know why, it's clearly inferior to Let Love In. I'd say Skeleton Tree is his (theirs), best album, followed by either Let Love In, The Boatman's Call, Push The Sky Away, or maybe even Ghosteen or The Good Son.
Man, he is just so incredibly consistent. _________________ All time
