I don't hate them, but the fact is I'm only saying that because I have to be careful not to violate the terms of the restraining order.

I should dislike Fleet Foxes by every single metric I can think of. And yet they're by far my favourite indie band to have come out of those dark mid-late 00s times. Probably the best 2010s indie band as well now that I think of it, although it depends on your definition of "indie". Vampire Weekend, Deerhunter, Destroyer, Grizzly Bear, Elbow, Bloc Party, Beirut... Ugh. I know a lot of people love these bands, but I've always felt like all of them are extremely budget versions of the 90s indie greats. Doing a watered down version of something that's already been done to death, and that sound isn't particularly exciting to me personally. And on top of that, I love Fleet Foxes, who are sometimes disliked in the internet communities for this exact reason. And on top of that top, I think Shore's excellent and better than the debut. I swear I'm not trying to be controversial _________________ Overall chart
