Even with all the classics they have, Sticky Fingers is my favorite Stones record and with a little bit of distance from the rest of the pack.

Since I first started getting into the Stones in 1980-1981, Sticky has been my fave Stones album, and one of my faves by anybody, often battling Who's Next for classic rock supremacy.

But for some reason in recent years, the luster has been wearing off a bit. I still like it, but a full listen can be tiresome and there's a couple cuts I'll happily skip. Ironically, it has been replaced by Exile on Main Street as my favorite Stones album. Odd if my reason for chucking Sticky is that getting through the whole thing can be a bit of a slog, eh?
