Just finished the end of Q2 and half-way point of the year. Attempting to get back to a three-weekly site update cycle after refreshing the forums took a little longer than planned last time around. The main improvement in this site update is addressing an issue with the primary navigation and mopping up issues left over from the overhaul of the forums (some of these changes already introduced prior to this communication).
Main changes:
- Longer primary navigation menus are now split horizontally to reduce vertical scrolling (particularly on mobile)
- Added 'last month' and 'last week' to new releases page to allow people to look back at recent releases
- Fixed new release on home page didn't rotate often enough
- Made 'rank score' more prominent across the site
- Allow users to skip waiting after submitting a chart (instead of waiting for redirect
- Tidied up user 'location' on view topic page (added icon instead of label to denote)
- Invalid release date threshold raised to top 9,000 for albums released since 1960 (top 10,000 target)
- Improved presentation of forum poll results
- Hide topic poster on mobile
- Hide 'Post subject:' label for each post on view topic page if there's no subject
- Fixed bug when adding new source if contained an apostrophe in the name
- Added help text for top comments on album pages.
- Fixed (hopefully) back button sometimes incorrectly triggers offline page rather than going back to previous intended page
- Fixed reaction notification URLs not landing properly
- Add blank line every ten entries on CoTD forum post (to make charts easier to scan)
- Fixed 'About' section not shown on user profile pages
- Fixed track title wrapping issue in track lists
- Fixed artist composition sort issue
- Migrated more pages to friendly URLs
- Various performance improvements and optimisations
With this round of housekeeping largely complete, planning to switch attention back to some of the larger items on the roadmap while aiming to maintain three-weekly updates. Two major data moderation projects are also progressing well in the background: adding release dates for the top 10,000 albums and clearing/verifying the backlog of albums with fewer than five tracks. Completing these projects will unlock a number of dependent features and additional data attributes planned for future updates.

Another bug that actually has been going on for a few years: I have no problem rating an album directly from an artist page or chart page, but if I do it on its album page at the bottom, sometimes it doesn't register and I have to refresh and re-rate it twice before it goes through. _________________ My Top 100 :
