- Post subject: Ultimate Festival Line-Up
|
If you were to choose a line up for a festival, which acts would you choose over Friday, Saturday & Sunday? I'm going to pick bands active in the last 5 years or so to make it realistic (within reason of course).
Friday:
Arctic Monkeys
The Strokes
Queens of The Stone Age
The Black Keys
Justice
We Are Scientists
Lou Reed
Jack White
Cults
Saturday
Blur
The Cure
Vampire Weekend
Kasabian
Franz Ferdinand
The Vaccines
Two Door Cinema Club
Paul Simon
Bon Iver
She & Him
Sunday
Paul McCartney
Arcade Fire
Pulp
The Libertines
Bob Dylan
Noel Gallagher
Morrissey
Noah & The Whale
Ray Davis
Miles Kane
Some bands that I'd like to work in but wouldn't suit in my opinion include Daft Punk, Radiohead and LCD Soundsystem.

This would be a total fantasy world, but it'd be themed on my favorite time periods in music:
Friday: 1950s Rock
Little Richard
Elvis
Buddy Holly
Ray Charles
Chuck Berry
Jerry Lee Lewis
Roy Orbison
Kingston Trio
Bill Haley and His Comets
Hank Williams and His Drifting Cowboys
Saturday: Late 60s Rock
The Beatles
Jimi Hendrix
The Rolling Stones
Led Zeppelin
The Doors
The Beach Boys
Donovan
Bob Dylan
Simon and Garfunkel
The Lovin' Spoonful
Sly and the Family Stone
Sunday: The Good Alternative years mid 80s to mid 90s
U2
R.E.M.
Radiohead
Nirvana/Foo Fighters combo???? What the Hell, this is fantasy land.
Rage Against the Machine
The Smashing Pumpkins
RHCP/Janes Addiction combo- now that is stretching it...
Pearl Jam
Pixies
Beck
Talking Heads
Depeche Mode
Weezer
