It seems as if the machine is just choosing albums now that will give your chart a high rating if the album in question is high on your chart.

Really don't get it. It's fine, but I'd never say it was a masterpiece.

I think I've already made my opinion known about Joy Division.

But, this album is boring. When listening to it the several times I did, I just felt bored, it just has little to no emotion (in my opinion), to some that's fine, but to me, it was just boring.

It's a shame, Joy Division could have been so much more, I love their song "Love will tear us apart".

Did I mention the worse outro known to man? "FEELING FEELING FEELING FEELING FEEEEEELLLLLIIINNNNNGGGG"

And all this is not to say you can't like them or anything, that's just my opinion on joy Division in general. I must ask this though, for those who think this album is amazing, what's the appeal (for you that is) to this particular album and band?

Also, I prefer Closer, and I do apologize if I seem rude while writing this.

This. Also, I agree with those who don't understand it. It's fine, but I don't understand how it can come any near the top 100, but my problem in general is that I think post-punk all sounds the same, very monotonous!

It's just the dark, sonic landscape that they create, they were a huge influence on many many bands that came after. If you can appreciate closer, I honestly don't know why you don't get Unknown Pleasures.

I prefer Closer, I still don't like it, just prefer it.
