"Jazz + Bossa Nova = Pure dopeness. I was thrilled to hear the actual song from The Pharcyde's sample for their hit Runnin'. Saudade Vem Correndo is my favorite track here. Not better than the red record but still an excellent listen."  Reply

"This is some of the most creative hip-hop I've ever heard. Really awesome instrumentals creating a wall of sound type backing along with often abrasive drums and really cool bars and sampling makes for an unnerving experience and I can't help but love it. The last two tracks are amazing and reall..."  [+]  Reply

"You can easily notice the transition between the bar scene punk/grunge rock of Telephono and the more restrained sounds and mature songwriting of Girls Can Tell on this album. It's an interesting milestone in Spoon's discography as it's both their own album but also very drenched in 90s hard rock..."  [+]  Reply

"Apart from the Passionate Friend there aren't many other tracks that would I describe as singles. There are a few good album tracks like Tiny Children, And The Fighting Takes Over, Great Dominions which scrape this album into a 7...just. Julian Cope is one of the voices that I remember from the e..."  [+]  Reply

"Their best since, The Lion's roar. It's growing on me with each listen. When I first heard it I thought it was okay but repeated listens bring out the songs more and more. A good record."  Reply

They played the title track on Letterman, y..."  [+]  Reply
