Madness haven't sounded that good since 1979, and even then they weren't a patch on The Specials.

However, this is a stunning song:

Austria has no medals yet apparently. Winter olympics can't come soon enough for them, huh Laughing

Very disappointing for such a rich country. And there is no excuse that they are quite good at the Winter Olympics because there would be tons of training possibilites in Vienna or other bigger cities not in the cold Tirol-era. They have no good trainers, athletes are somehow not motivated. There are things one cannot buy with money even here would be money for almost anything...

Anyway, the closing ceremony was lovely, a bit too long for me, cause there were some horrible performances like the Spice Girls or One Direction, but there were tons of good performances as well.
It was great watching Ray Davis singing Waterloo Sunset.a The Who was just fabulous at the very end, too!!

Just heard NBC cut Ray Davies from the delayed broadcast. Last time I watch that network!

I actually thought of you Naples when Ray Davies came on (is that wrong?). Shame they cut it out it was one of the best bits, well that and Eric Idle's Bright Side Of Life. Think the closing ceremony was nowhere near as good as the opening one, as a celebration of British music it could have been so much better (I mean why did they let George Michael plug his new single?), and there were so many great artists not featured even with recorded music. Anyway, a pretty decent job done on the olympics as a whole I reckon.

Yeah I enjoyed Eric Idle's number. Got to see Ray Davies' on YouTube-poor sound as with many the songs. Shame, don't whether to blame NBC or UK.
