Kate's best album, and one of the greatest of all time.

As my good friend Freddie will easily tell you, this is possibly the most important female album ever made. Yes, from the Supremes to Carole King to Janis Joplin, there was good stuff. But this album set up the whole blueprint for aural femininity.

"Feel It" is one of the greatest songs ever made, gorgeously stabbing itself into your soul, and causing you to look into yourself, when she wails "see what you're doing to me".

Screw the Hounds of Love. That album's basically Crazy Frog compared to this.

yep, extremely assured for a debut. Maybe not her most musically enjoyable, but just full of great ideas
