Beautiful, though I must say I'm a bit puzzled by the fact everybody on this site seems to think this is Oldham's best LP. Sure it's great, but where was everybody during The Palace Brothers ? What about The Letting Go? I'm afraid it's fashionable to love this one, and nobody ever listens to Bonnie Prince Billy anymore, and nobody bothered before. Even Will Oldham's Joya is slightly better.
Shame, cause he's such a touching artist. Anyway, great album. Listen to every single thing he's done.

Quote: | Scene hillbillies- Who would've thunk it?
About a half hour ago, I put on this record while brushing my teeth for it's usual two minutes. This was especially important today, since I'm supposed to be giving a speech on Autism to a large congregation. This wasn't a "Minor Place", for me, and I wanted to look my best for the event.
But as I started brushing with it playing, Oldham's whiny hick vocals gave me such bad indigestion that, when I stopped brushing thirty seconds early due to the pain, I ended up throwing up all over the sink. |

Oh by the way : you should also add "Palace Brothers" to Bonnie Prince Billy's parent acts. It's the same guy. I would, but I don't know how to do it.
EDIT : I see it's already been done, sorry.
