The Wall will always be many things to many people, individually often skewed greatly towards 'masterpiece' and 'utter wank-shite". If one can take a neutral middle ground here that is mightily impressive and yet, with that assessment, it's impossible to believe they are being truly honest.

I can't stand it, although I guess giving it another full listen wouldn't hurt. As masochistic as the experience has been so far, maybe there will be a silver lining somewhere if one listens close enough.

Well, I wouldn't necessarily say I'm middle ground, but I think I'm pretty close to thinking this is OK. I mean, the tracks can get boring and tedious at times while at other times they can be epic and/or catchy. I wouldn't say I'm middle ground here. I'm a bit more leaning towards good.

This album has never really done it for me, I always remember it as being a bit of a chore to get through. I never understood how Another Brick in the Wall (Part II) got to number one and seemed to stay there forever (I think it was 5 weeks). I found it extremely depressing at that time in my life.

To be fare, I haven't listened to it in years.

Yes, pure genius. Sincere, understated, beautiful. Makes my dick hard.

It's alright. I think I fall into that middle ground of it's okay. There are some great songs on here but the album as a whole is a little long and self indulgent.

Comfortably Numb is one of Pink Floyd's best ever tracks and possibly one of the best ever guitar solos.

"Ruined" may have been a little overstatement but I am assuredly not a fan of any of those records. So yes, I do. They have their moments, they aren't as much of a drag as The Wall, but the last solid Floyd record was A Saucerful for Secrets for me. And even that one had some weak tracks.

I'm more of a Piper at the Gates of Dawn fan instead of a Pink Floyd fan, I suppose

Hehe, I don't like any Pink Floyd pre-Meddle, so it's like we're not listening to the same band in a way. Wink

The Wall is just awful. What might be most appalling is that Waters actually thought this was a really clever idea.
