Just one great album in which you should let it slowly crawl under your skin, just don't expect to be completely wowed on first listen. I can relate to a lot of the feelings of the record, which may be a bit troubling at times, but it's amazing how well it connects to the darkest corners of adolescent angst. A terrific, if extremely murky, rock album.

I was very late to this one. Never considered myself much of a MSP fan, only being familiar with their chart topping output, but this was a real revelation. Far more interesting than I'd anticipated.

I used to think this too, but as Saoirse suggests, give it time. It's one nasty album (in a good way)!

I don't won't to appear as a grammar nazi, but I don't think the title of track 2 makes any sense. If you split up the words, it says: "If white america told the truth for one day it's world would fall apart". It should have been an "its", right? I've just thought about it often.

Great album, their best.

Best tracks: "She Is Suffering", "Yes", "Die in the Summertime", "Of Walking Abortion", "4st 7lb".

Yep, you're correct. I guess they may have done it on purpose for some reason (though I'm not sure what that reason would be), but it's definitely incorrect.

Incorrect grammar on purpose, you say? Think ...cryptic! Why hasn't an_outlaw commented? Even more cryptic!

This was Richey Edwards and the Manics at their raw and angry best. The guitars and JDB's angry lyrics just make this album.Definitely not for the faint hearted with songs about genocide, murder, eating disorders and the holocaust to name but a few.

In my Top 5 albums of all time. Great to hear live. I heard them play it in it's entirety(save PCP cos JDB voice can't hack it any more he says) at Leeds Met in 2005.

After this the MSP definitely became more mainstream and not as controversial RIP Richey Edwards Applause
