Nearly two weeks ago I saw Sigur Rós at a festival. I was very tired before the gig, and maybe because of that, their music did put me in a weird state of mind where I wasn't fully conscious, nor fully awake either I think. So I started having mental pictures where I saw a boat sailing through an idyllic river landscape or something. At some point, I suddenly saw a rocking chair standing in the middle of a road, and with my tired legs, I obviously wanted to sit down. So I opened my eyes to locate the rocking chair, and saw to my surprise that I was at a concert. Later on I think I actually fell asleep, as my head suddenly fell down on the shoulder of a woman who stood in front of me

Well, it's a little silly. About 3 months ago, in a tribute concert to Raul Seixas, with the band O Terno, and with Zeca Baleiro. It was more to the end of the concert. I was with the coolest people ever, we all super drunk, and we were just dancing. Dancing with joy and happiness, not caring about other people, dancing in a ridiculous way. That vibe was so strong, so pure, we were all just happy, the music was awesome, we knew all the lyrics, and that's it.

That whole set was phenomenal, but the greatest moment was when Wayne Coyne rolled right over me in his giant hamster ball. So yeah, that was the best, and my friends missed it to see Girl Talk...They were trying to tell me how mediocre Girl Talk was, when I responded with something along the lines of:

Saw Flaming Lips on their Embryonic tour at the UofC's ballroom. It was overwhelming. Well done Wayne.
Aside from that, I have a number, many of which are bands I'm not crazy about, but were great live. Green Day burnt the stage down after a wild show. Gomez were the most amenable with the crowd. Tom Jones commanded the stage. Even Nickelback was fun live.
Honestly though - my top two choices - Radiohead in Chicago (with Beta Band and Kid Koala opening) and Aerosmith in Toronto. We were speechless after Radiohead. Aerosmith were such good fun. _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.

- Seeing Wayne Coyne in a bubble above me in the most recent Adelaide concert.
- Darren King (Mutemath drummer) strapping his headphones to his head before a 2 hour set by the band in Melbourne last year.
- The 3.5 hour epic by The Cure on their last visit to Australia.
