Are you being serious right now? I'm not going to change that. It is a part of my personality, which you really can't change. I can accomplish what I want to accomplish in life without involving myself with lots of people. I mean, I have my best friend who I am very close with, I just don't have anything to gain from social scenarios. Let's see, I want to be a writer and live in a quaint little house in Wales and grow my own vegetables (cliched, I know). I'll probably have to converse with editors and publishers, yadda yadda, for publishing the book, and that is fine. I am not militantly asocial or anything like that. I just don't see the need for involving myself in social scenarios. And sometimes I feel like being with a lot of other people will just pull me down and dilute my thinking. And I especially don't understand how party scenarios will make my life any better. Maybe you really enjoy them, and they make your life really fulfilling, but I want something different from life, and that is fine, people are many and varied.

Oh, and I wouldn't say I'm apathetic, I care greatly about people and sympathize with them, I just find that in groups they become less individuals, and more a big blur. But individuals, yes, I really care about their lives and their views. Well, depending on the individual that is. Laughing

I respect an asocial attitude, if that's who you are then fine. But I think what I and the other people on this thread want is for you to enjoy being sociable the same way we do because its awesome. You shouldn't have a fixed idea of what you are like because everyone is constantly changing, you may find one day you enjoy having company. Just test yourself every once in a while to see if you're attitude has changed, if has great and if it hasn't that's fine too. What I'm trying to say is don't spend your whole life in your comfort zone, new experiences are worth a risk.

Side Note To Stay Relevant to the Thread:
Wonderwall always goes down well at the end of a party.

Bringing back this thread as I'm attempting to organise my 21st (A bit late for numerous reasons), anyway, music is of course an important factor as the party shall be at home, I have my old favourites which will be in there whether people like it or not, but I'm also looking for new recommendations however so everything is welcome (I'll be looking back through this thread also, but just throw stuff my stuff my way if you want). Love y'all.

So the party has been going on for long enough and you want to end it. This is understandable because the above is an over 20 hour playlist and you're probably feeling pooped. Bellow is emergency playlist #2, which must be played immediately in order to calm everyone down and usher them out the door. It should be played in order, though it doesn't have to be - the order will be explained here:

The beginning of the playlist is a ruse, a number of songs, which, though still pretty party-oriented and electronic-y, have an element of "feels" to them, a sort of bittersweet quality. It will start to eeeever so slightly bring down the mood. This begins the descent. Also notice the placement of Blink 182's "All The Small Things", this is a planted seed which will foreshadow a later movement in the playlist to be explained further on.

The playlist makes the gradual transition from bittersweet electronic music and glo-fi to "sexy" music, to aid in the facilitation of sexuality for certain party-goers. Roughly from "Girl You'll Be A Woman Soon" to "On & On" certain members of the party will suddenly feel the need to leave to somewhere more private with their significant others. That's a start. The playlist then descends into some really mellow electronic music to induce some element of sleepiness to some of the patrons. It's at this time that, if in conversation, you should tell stories about work or about particularly brutal hangovers from the past. The people who were on the fence about whether or not to leave will begin booking it to their beds.

Now comes the "nostalgia" part of the playlist. The majority of wild party goers around you will have been most likely born in the 1990's, so a couple sentimental songs from their early childhood are thrown in. They are drunk and more open to being sentimental - they'll hear these songs and sing along a little maybe and they'll feel nostalgic and they'll start to calm down and get tired. The playlist will start to transition into softer and softer 90's music until it changes over to some soft and depressive indie music about dying. If somehow someone is still there at this point and awake and ready to party, play dead or scare them away with commitment. Another possible solution is to call the cops on your own party, which will later be fondly remembered as "that party that was so ballin' the cops got called".
