Why on earth is he on the front? Is their something being re released?

They did David Bowie a few weeks ago. Its like the legends are being used to sell the magazine right now.

I miss Elliott Smith. He was a unique voice and great songwriter. To answer the question though, maybe NME has been influenced Mojo, a far superior British music magazine.

Which is Nicky Wire. And that was one of the most heartfelt choices of cover they had that year, considering the article too.

I wasn't implying that Elliot Smith shouldn't be on the cover. I was making a statement about the nme picking random cult artists for their cover.
