The beginning of The Beatles' maturity musically. My favorite tracks include

1. Norwegian Wood
2. Nowhere Man
3. Drive My Car
4. Girl

IMO Revolver was the actual point where Beatles turned into a notable band, not this. However this is still a solid album with quite a few great songs (NORWEGIAN WOOD, You Won't See Me, NOWHERE MAN, I'm Looking Through You, IN MY LIFE, Wait [okay, maybe not this one]). The rest is nice though the stretch between Nowhere Man and I'm Looking Through You is weak overall except Michelle. Think for Yourself is interesting musically but I wish they had actually made a good tune out of the idea, Word is a throwaway full of cheesy lyrics (and not in a good way) though the tune is alright, What Goes On and Girl are just boring though still pleasant enough I guess. People who consider it among the best albums ever confuse me, it's not great or a masterpiece, just a cute album good for passing time (exactly what I'm doing right now, haha)

EDIT: The Word is fun, what was I thinking? The parts where John sings solo are still unbearable though.

In My Life is where it is at. They play it the end of a documentry about Lennon's life. In the credits... feels so much sadder there.
