Fever Ray - Fever Ray (My personal favourite. I never really thought of it as a 'female album' before, I guess because it's so abstract.)
Carole King - Tapestry
PJ Harvey - Rid Of Me
Janelle Monae - The Archandroid
Missy Higgins - The Sound of White
Bjork - Homogenic/Vespertine

It's a very grey area between a female solo artist and a front-woman in a band when there are other musicians contributing to the music. How would one make the distinction?
