Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?

This album is amazing, virtually perfect. It's not Pinkerton, but it's still fantastic.

I actually see the Blue Album as the pinnacle of Weezer's output. Pinkerton is great in its own way, but the Blue Album is one of the most brilliant pop albums ever produced by a bunch of angsty nerds.

Thanks to those of you that commented who weren't yet born when this came out. Feeling old is what I come to BEA for. I see no reason to compare this and Pinkerton. They are both terrific and they are the only Weezer records that anyone should bother listening to.

You mean over Buddy Holly's discography? Please reconsider.

Tbh it was a bit of a provocative statement, but I've listened to the first two Holly / Criquets records and I've not particularly dug them. Maybe I should give them another chance, but as of now I think they are very mediocre records, whereas the Weezer song is genuinely one of my favorites from its decade.

I used to love this album, but I've listened to it enough that it doesn't really stir much in me anymore if I try to listen to it. Still a very good album, just not one I go back to much at this point. Only In Dreams is a great track.

Buddy Holly is my favorite song. Weezer can be difficult to listen to for me. I don't know what it is about the band.
