I know this has been brought up before (possibly/probably by me) but honestly the only thing I could possibly want more from the site atm is bigger avatars. like 150x150 would be so amazing and totally wouldnt clutter things. plz plz plz
great job w/ the site as always, and if there's a lot on your plate please tell me cut out my sense of entitlement
and take your time. ofc. _________________ My top songs of the 2010s

150px is bigger than you think:
Thumbnail. Click to enlarge.
I like the current size, I think they're tidy, but an increase to 100px wouldn't be too offensive.

Second this. The avatars are a bit on the small side compared to some places I've been, but 150 would be way too much.

I'd prefer if (like other forums) you didn't have to resize your avatar picture yourself as most places I've been to have an automatic resize function when you upload.

yeah, regardless of how big or small our avatars have to be, i'd much prefer to not have to make a copy of my avatar image that i use for the one second to upload then delete cause i'm never gonna use an 80x80 image anywhere else

Working within the existing BEA layout, I think 120px would be about the biggest the avatar size could be increased without detracting too much from the actual content of each post. There are no internet standards dictating a 'standard' avatar size. The default image size on Gravatar is the same as BEA (80x80px) (the forum software here, phpBB, uses 80px by default).
The avatar functionality is provided by the forum software here (phpBB) and it doesn't resize images automatically (I'll add to the list to look for an add-in that can do this).
