Daily Poll/Professional Reviews

I have 2 suggestions;
Can you add a Daily Poll on the home page,boss?(something like IMDB daily polls)I think most of the visitors check the home page first,so we may see some interesting surveys.
And it would be nice if we had direct access to some professional reviews,I mean how about putting the links on every relevant page,or even some parts of critics comments.I think most of us check the reviews more or less.

thanks Omid, some interesting ideas. We did have a poll on the front page at one point a few years back, but we removed it. The forum tends to throw up far more interesting questions than I can think of by myself and the poll on the front-page ended up being a bit lost because the questions weren't interesting enough.

As far as your second point, whose reviews were you particularly thinking of?

I did have an idea about adding some kind of pop quiz where we'd show a random question based on what's in the BEA database and maybe have a leaderboard or something. I think that would be more interactive and maybe more fun than showing a stat? It's an idea that is being worked on in the background, but everything's held up at the moment until the moderation system is finished.

Yes, we could link through to reviews and it's just a question of maintaining a list of URLs for each release, so this would need to be additional data that is managed. It's maybe something that could be added to the moderation system so that users can contribute URLs.
