Love The Black Keys and I would say this is their best album, though it's close. It's the perfect balance between the grittiness of their earlier stuff and accessibility of their more recent stuff.

Yeah this is sort of the perfect description. The early stuff got a bit better with each album I think, they peaked here, El Camino was kind of alright but starting to move away, and they lost me completely with Turn Blue.
I still have fond memories of Vh1 promoting "Tighten Up" as a new video to watch and then being really excited when I went online and found their other videos. Pretty sure 13 year old Ben got in trouble out of context for watching 'Next Girl', though I was legitimately mostly there for the puppet that I thought was hilarious in the other version of "Tighten Up". You'd think 13 is prime "I found boobs online!" age, but I guess I've always been more of a dinosaur man. Dunno. _________________
This is pretty good, at most, for me. The only Keys album I ever truly loved was Magic Potion. I remember that really blew me away when I 17-18ish. _________________ -Ryan
