I prefer the lush and cinematic soul production off Late Registration compared to this album's down-to-earth sound. Regardless, this album is straight bangin' and is a lot of fun.

I am not a fan of this album. I probably was in high school, when I thought the things Kanye was saying about higher education were so deep, but both the antiintellectualism and the backpack sound feel so painfully dated for me. Late Registration is so much better, but even that's no masterpiece.

Least liked Kanye album by yours truly.

I'll Fly Away and Jesus Walks are the only higher ranked songs with an 80.

Phenomenal album! It may not be my favorite Kanye album, but it has a lot of my favorite Kanye songs. "Never Let Me Down" is so underrated. I would remove 9, 10, 11, and 13 from the album if I could, but everything else is pure fire.

My 2nd least favorite Yeezy album, but still freakin' fantastic.

Jesus Walks is essential.

One of those albums I find so fun, carefree, and uplifting that I cannot fathom how someone couldn't like it.

Yes the diatribes about education get pretty heavy handed, but listen to Jesus Walks. Or Family Business. Or Spaceship. Or Through The Wire. Or Never Let Me Down. Or

In retrospect it's very raw, it's the rough diamond of Kanye's career before his best work.

I think he's a stronger and more versatile artist since the College trilogy but there are a handful of tracks from that period he will probably never beat.
