Hey guys! I've only heard about 150 albums before getting to this site, but I want to discover a lot more, so I'm going through the top 10,000 list and listening to all of the albums that aren't compilations, classical or others I don't consider albums in the strictest sense (although I do love classical and compilations, maybe I'll listen to them in a separate project). I just started, and it will take a while, but when I have 100 albums that I like a lot, I'll make a 100 greatest albums chart!
I tend to be strict with my rankings, but note that anything above a 50/100 is a like for me. I can't wait to have some interesting discussions with you all!

Pretty ambitious project you have there, shouldn't take more than 5 years.

welcome! Admirable goal indeed. Though I must insist you explore compilations at some point, namely of earlier (pre-50s) music, as there are many gems from the pre-LP era that can often only be found on anthologies and the like
also yes Earthbound does rule

good idea but check out
www.rateyourmusic.com
i'm doing the same thing with their top 10k, it's much more varied and stable than that of BEA

Welcome aboard, it's always a joy to discover some of those albums for the first, sure wish I could do the same with some, keep us updated!
