Not as consistent as their previous 80's albums, but it has some great songs "You Are The Everything" and "Orange Crush"

huh... this is easily my favorite 80s album of theirs, hands down. Not a dry track on the whole record.

The irony and mockery and juxtaposition is fantastic in Pop Song 89 and Stand. Sorry you guys didn't get that, and thought they were shitty pop songs.

You are the everything, hairshirt, world leader pretend, and the wrong child are some of the most solemn music I've ever heard. Uh... good lord is Hairshirt a fantastic song.

Orange Crush is one of their few rock anthem, and for rock anthems it's pretty fantastic.

I could go on, but I'd probably bore people who probably don't care to understand.

100/100 for me folks. Then again, this is probably when I started havign some kind of musical conscious... possibly a huge influence.

I prefer Murmur. My 2nd favorite is between Reckoning and Green. And I wouldn't be bored if wanted to go ADP on this. I like hearing what ppl have to say in depth about music, especially R.E.M.
