It's p gud, though I definitely prefer Miles's masterpiece

Miles Ahead by Miles Davis

And of course, the solo work of Gil Evans is amazing too.

It's absolutely stunning and one of the greatest albums ever. It never fails to get me into this mysterious, romantic, somewhat introspective space. Just wow! It's maybe top 3 or 4 greatest albums in Miles' discog (that I've heard) and every time I'm making my 1 album per artist chart I'm thinking of adding even though I always end up with Kind of Blue or In A Silent Way or once My Funny Valentine. Anyway, Miles and Gil Evans were so great together. As far as their collabs is rank them all fabulous but it's Sketches>Porgy & Bess > Miles Ahead > Birth of the Cool.

It seems I really oughta' like this one a lot more than I do.

Miles is always so dark and subdued. Spain is lively and colorful. The mix just doesn't work for me.

I'm still getting into Miles, but this has certainly been one of my favourites so far.
