This is too cruel. Unquestionable Presence is one of my favourite metal albums. The amount of technical prowess on it is just astounding with one of the best rhythm sections in all of metal. It'd be really hard to vote against it.
However, I urge you to give To The Nameless Dead, from my boys from Skerries, a chance. A powerful and sprawling journey into the lives of struggling Irish peasants during the Famine and the dire circumstances and frustration that come from it. You can hear the aching in his voice when he sings, as it shatters through you like the broken shards and remains of any hope left for this part of the world. Incorporate the pastoral Celtic sound through a black metal-ish aesthetic and passionately delivered historic and harrowing lyrics; you get one of the best discoveries in the genre. Deserves to be listened to. Vote goes to Primordial. _________________
