Industrial Rock meets SynthPop. Interesting combo that works very well here. Love this album. Should be higher on my list than it currently is. It flows perfectly and the songs kick ass. Best NIN album hands down.

The remastered version of this is pretty impressive. I feel like it gave detail to the album instead of taking away/over compressing it. Usually I don't like remasters (Nevermind is terrible).

Also a great album.

Around the early-mid 1990's this used to be overrated. Now it tends to be underrated -- from what I can gather, just because it sounds "dated" -- which is an overused term in my opinion. Of course it sounds dated! It's almost 30 years old!

i like the album. not a favorite by any stretch, but it certainly has its place. i think the deterrent here has more to do with trent's lyricism than any datedness.
