I like Splodgenessabounds

British Oi band from the early 80s who had a top 10 hit with the marvellous double a-side of:

Simon Templar/ Two Pints of Lager And a Packet of Crisps Please

There was even a rather good TV sitcom called Two Pints of Lager.

By the way crisps are the English version of American potato chips, in case you didn't know.

A pity. It is a Monty Python sketch about a group changing its name all the time. There are a zillion great names in the sketch like "Dead Donkeys", "Lead Donkeys" "Blind Drunk", "Dead Salmon" etc. If you really want to challenge someone with pop knowledge, ask him who played lead electric triangle with "Toad the Wet Sprocket".

You should hear it. Reading it is only half the fun:

Oh, OK. I see. I love Monty Python so I'm going to watch that video. But Helen Shapiro was also a real person. A British singer in the 1960s. That's why I got confused. Because she's a real person

Btw, I have a Toad the Wet Sprocket CD, though I haven't seen it anywhere since the mid-90s. they were famous for about 10 minutes in the 90s during the big alternative boom.

Of course she is. (A wonderful singer) That’s why the band was not allowed to keep the name. Smile
