Slowly encroaching on the girlfriend's bookcase. Shit equipment, but I mostly get LPs now because it's as easy to stumble across free improvisation records than it is to discover or find anything digitally. Most of my listening is done on my phone though

Not sure if I'll get the photos right might need to edit. Bought this setup about 3 years ago from a guy in Dunedin, Fla. who does great work with old equipment. MCS turntable and Panasonic receiver with some Klipsh . Probably could go for an upgrade to my system but its too tempting to just buy records instead. Plus, I like the way everything sounds so why mess with it too much? What I'm most proud of is my homemade record shelf unit. Holds about 100 up top and 100 in the drawers. Had to add the front cover piece because my one year old kept turning the dials on the receiver. Those shelves with the records on them were brackets I found buried in the backyard that I mounted to the wall. As with others, my collection is branching out into space not designated for records which always gets a side eye. Collection is up over 500 at this point.

Haha that's true...cats are shockers for jumping up on your gear. Fortunately I only have a dog who seems pretty uninterested or unimpressed with my set-up.

Plus if you are like me and enjoy passing out on the floor listening to music, you can just roll over and flip the record.

Every cat i ever had liked to sleep on amps and receivers, because theyre nice and warm. So u gotta put them in a space where there's no room for the cat to get on it. And u gotta do the same with your turntable, because they like to stop the spinning records. Even with the cover closed they still try to fuck with the record. Heh heh

As it's Friday I'm all set up for the weekend. I can't have a permanent set-up as i work from home as a childminder so Mon-Fri it's Spotify or CD's only until we get our garage conversion done. Hate packing it all away early hours of Monday morning though but it's worth it and I really look forward to the weekend. Should probably get myself a real job!!! The new Dual is playing nicely so all good.
