I never 'get' ambient music, and I can honestly say that 'Break Down' is the first ambient track which made sense to me. |
Wow, thanks carpents. In what way did it make sense?

It reminded me of a thunderstorm, honestly. It starts off dark, then gets even darker. There are bits of static punching through what seems like a long, rolling thunder. The thunder passes, the static remains.

Smart idea for a cassette design, dig it. I'll give the album a stream later If I owned a tape player I would buy one, but... well... I don't

What do you guys think? 2 self-produced EPs from a 4-piece band. All multi-instrumentalists on each song, had a lot of fun making it in the studio |
I like it, the instrumentation is great. I definitely like the instrumentation better than the vocals, but I can be finicky when it comes to voices. It does sound like it was fun to make. |
Cheers for the comment. I would never profess to be a great singer myself, always thought 'don't oversing anything' in a Dylan, Lou Reed kinda way, but I do enjoy the experience. There's two of us on these recordings, myself on some and my bandmate Pat on some others. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment, the effort is appreciated.

Always working away at new material. Actually have some somewhat exciting projects right now... might end up compiling a demo and sending it out to labels. Haven't done that in years. I also have a side project featuring a whole bunch of East Asian instruments that I'm hoping to release at some point, but I'm not sure when. Brad heard an early version of it a few weeks back.
Anyway, because I like BEA n stuff, I'm going to be releasing 3 BEA exclusive tracks tomorrow. They pull influences from Burial, Four Tet, Arca, that area, etc... Unsure if they'll be on future albums, but I think at least 2 of them will be. This isn't an official EP or anything, just sharing about 10 minutes worth of material.
I'll post the link tomorrow (still sprucing one of the tracks up...)
