This album starts off strong with two of the best folk songs that I've heard in a while. The opening guitar to Baby's Arms is so warm and ethereal. The back half drags along for a bit but this is definitely some of Kurt Vile's best work.

Top tracks: Baby's Arms, Jesus Fever, Peeping Tomboy

Love this album. Such highlights:

"Baby's Arms" is a love song full of such vulnerability.

"On Tour" is one of the best songs about touring ever, and I mean that in a good way.

"Society is My Friend" has such a big, bright sound and its reference to Sonic Youth's "Society is a Hole" makes for such an appropriate statement in our times. A companion piece to "Puppet to the Man."

"Runner Ups" has lyrics i can never quite put my finger on, even though it's probably my favorite track here. Seems to be about pride and a desire to be recognized while always overlooked. So much attitude couched in KV's deceivingly laid-back style.

"Peeping Tomboy" most brilliant acoustic riff ever.

Closer "Ghost Town" manages to make slacker laziness totally epic. F'ing awesome.
