Sinatra (and Dean Martin) are a rare example of popular but obscure Think
Everyone has heard of him, the man, the legend, Frank Sinatra! But honestly how many people have listened to his songs? Let,alone a full album. I'll be honest I've given more attention to Dean Martin's work then Frank's but it's a shame to over look it period Flogging a dead horse

I think most people these days are familiar mainly with Sinatra's 60s output like "Strangers in the Night" and especially "My Way."

One of the many great albums Sinatra made in the mid to late fifties especially with Nelson Riddle. In the Wee Small Hours is subtle fare best appreciated at the time of day suggested by the album title. This is ground zero in terms of themetically constructed modern music hence "Chairman of the Board" status. Must have a listen to some Sinatra today as with the passing of Jerry Kewis who frequently teamed with Dean Martin, one of the last pieces of gold dust from that era is finally gone. (Shirley MacLaine was a member of the rat pack, pretty sure she's still kicking)

Sinatra and Riddle are surely one of the greatest combinations in pop music. I probably slightly prefer Only the Lonely to this, but both are incredible.
