Thank you so much for your replies! Those flow charts were very helpful! I'll be posting my thoughts on the records I haven't listened to to let them know if I liked them or not Very Happy

I think I'll start with Swervdriver. I love this band but I've intentionally stayed away from "Mezcal Head" because I didn't want to start with their best record and be stuck on it you know? I've listened to Raise and their newest one but the felt like they were missing something. Not sure what thought. Mezcal Head has the "thing". I've really been missing out it seems. Also I haven't listened to Slowdive's "Just For A Day" yet but I just bought a Slowdive collection with their first three records. I think I wanna be suprised and wait a bit Wink but thats just me, can't wait!

23 by Blonde Redhead

Super great crossover album, accessible pop hooks with a dreamy shoegaze sheen.

Must must must!! Okay it's about as shoegaze as the Sex Pistols but I think it's a lovely dreamy ambient album.

Waves, Brighter and Celia's Dream are standout tracks.

What!!! Reckon if you looked up the definition of Shoegaze it would probably say 'Slowdive - Just For A Day'.

This was very weird. The opening track had me thinking "This whole album is just gonna be weird music called "art" huh?" But after that opening track it got really good. Its the only album I can think of that felt like every track took forever to get through but in a good way. I'm kinda mixed on it but I might have to give it another listen to fully enjoy it, Thanks! Who knew little bro Weegee could give good records Laughing (it'sa joke'a)

I understand that it's a joke. But I'm glad you had a positive reaction to the record. Honestly, I feel the record got better on repeat listens. But I will say take your time with it.

lol which would make it right? Never got why this is filed under the genre really, as beautiful as it is, more ambient or dreampop, but if it's officially (groans) labelled shoegaze then so be it!
