Hmm... well, I like your Wikipedia idea. Anything which Wikipedia considers electronic or a sub-genre thereof should be fair game. _________________ A dick that's bigger than the sun.

so I looked around at some album pages on wikipedia, and I think this will be our working definition...
'electronic music:' any album whose genre classified on wikipedia includes the words 'electronic music' or 'electronic', as well as those albums identified by wikipedia as sub-genres of 'electronic music' including: ambient, breakbeat, chiptune, drum & bass, electro, electronic art music, electronica, electronicore, UK garage, glitch, hard dance, hardcore techno, house, industrial, synthpop, techno, trance, trip hop, dubstep, Eurodance, Hi-NRG, and any genre with the prefix 'synth' (e.g. synthpunk) or the suffix 'tronica' (e.g. indietronica).
Most of these genres won't even pop up, but electronic music is such an umbrella term that there's got to be a definition. The purpose of this definition is to include obvious electronic albums like Suicide and Person Pitch, whose classifications on wikipedia don't reflect the electronic aspect of the album. However, this also divides bands that incorporate both real instruments and electronics (e.g. it includes a few Radiohead albums and it excludes all Animal Collective albums). All bands classified as 'electronic music' on wikipedia will be accepted, and there can be petitions to include other obviously electronic albums that are not classified as such on wikipedia. In this latter case two other users (any users) will have to OK the album (I expect MPP will be petitioned immediately, hopefully).
Any suggestions welcome, I'll repost this in a separate thread dedicated to the game when it comes.

OK, since we're approaching the end of itsit's tourny, it seems inevitable electronic music is the next tourny, and several people are dying to suggest... start posting your suggestions in the "electronic music tournament" thread. suggestions made here may or may not be included, so be sure to post it in the actual that thread!
