System Of A Down

Limp Bizkit

Drowning Pool

Mudvayne

People need to give these bands a listen (Well, probably not Hoobastank, Nickelback, Silverchair, System of a Down, Disturbed or Limp Bizkit, etc because they're a bit more popular than the others I've also mentioned on here).

Also, feel free to rate these bands by rating their songs, rating their albums or just rating the band themselves if you can.

Thank you.

they're just very generic, there's nothing inherently wrong with their music, it's just not something that really pushed rock forward

nickelback is overhated, but i don't think that they're geniuses or anything. they're alright

hoobastank have that one song that's solid

i dislike theory of a deadman

seether is average

i haven't heard enough of the last three to give a solid opinion

The rest of my life could be a Nickelback-free zone and that would be just fine.

I do like Saliva though.

Not familiar with 12 Stones--I'll have to check them out.

If you haven't heard them yet, you may want to check out Nothing More. I saw them as the opener before Chevelle and the headliner Disturbed, and found them to be quite impressive.

I can think of some others that actually have some merit, but none of the ones you named still resonate with me at all. I would be lying if I didn't say I enjoyed "How You Remind Me", "Blurry" (Puddle of Mudd), or some of the Creed singles, but I was also around 8 years old when those came out.

System of A Down is still cool though, and Alien Ant Farm somewhat.

How did you get into this music? Im curious how a young person from the UK is into American Post Grunge music which is generally maligned around here at this point.

I've never been so quick to throw System of a Down into the Nu-Metal genre. Not only do I think, musically, they are more interesting than many of their contemporaries, I think their style isn't so easily definable. Unlike a few of the artists listed here like Disturbed or Limp Bizkit.

Yup, I think my main thing with Seether is that the most interesting thing I've heard from them was that song that sounds and is structured almost exactly like Stinkfist.

Personally my favorite bands from this genre are Linkin Park, Rage Against The Machine, System of a Down, and Slipknot
