I recently picked up The Seer by Swans on vinyl and the track listing is in a completely different order than the Digital or CD copy.
I believe this is because of the very long lengths of some of the tracks, and was the only way to fit them into 3 discs nicely. They even had to cut the title track into two parts among two sides of one record.
I personally enjoy the way the tracks are sequenced on the vinyl release, but I've never really listened to the album as a whole until I grabbed my own copy, so this is the way I've come to know the album. I think this would irritate me if I went to listen to the album digitally or on CD for whatever reason..
that's weird. i can't listen to albums on shuffle because i get so accustomed to the track order, so this would irritate me to no end. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

When I'm listening to albums and the track order isn't the one I'm accustomed to, it just completely fucks with my head.
If I expect a certain song to come next but it doesn't, I just freak out. It's like the world no longer makes sense to me.
