Anybody feel like going through THIS LIST and recommend me stuff? I'm way behind things. I'll still try to see 5-6 of them, including Trier's Thelma.

Not gonna lie, that's a stellar looking line-up Loveless. I'd say try to pick some of these:
I Am Not A Witch
Menashe
120 BPM
Call Me By Your Name
Foxtrot
Good Time
Happy End
Loveless
On Body And Soul
Killing of A Sacred Deer
The Shape of Water
Thelma
Three Billboards
Claire's Camera
The Florida Project
You Were Never Really Here
Manifesto
Good amount in the Panorama section that I know nothing about though.

Deeeeeef check out You Were Never Really Here. Just watched it this morning, and it's a home-run. Lynne Ramsey def deserved best director at Cannes... almost odd that she won best screenplay considering it's adapted, but whatever. Fantastic film.

Watched a couple 2017 picks over the last few days, The Day After, Loving Vincent and Beach Rats. All were slightly faulty, but Beach Rats was my (surprise) favourite of the bunch. Loving Vincent could have been a lot better if the plot was slightly better... and The Day After felt a little amateurish, I'm surprised it was Hong Sang-soo's Cannes pick out of his 3 films he made this year, On The Beach At Night Alone is far better. Beach Rats was surprisingly unique and really well executed, a strong indie from the year. Cool surprise.

Maybe I'm wrong and someone reading this will see it and like it, but just got out of Justice League and you can skip it.

Watched Rodin and The Death of Louis XIV over the past week, and they are both, unquestionably, some of the worst movies I have ever had to endure.
Also finally got around to seeing Logan Lucky and thought it was pretty good (not great, def plot holes), worth a watch as long as you don't analyze the hell out of it.
And Mudbound was pretty solid, but lacked a little umph. Some of those truck conversation scenes a few of the most enjoyable of the year though. Anyone else given it a watch?

The Disaster Artist 8.5
Cinematically faithful biopic on the making of the Room. The split screen at the end of the film show how authentically they've recreated the scenes. James Franco is hilarious and will likely snaffle an oscar nod for his performance. The ultimate irony is that thanks to it's notoriety The Room has eventually turned a profit on it's 6 million budget and will probably go gangbusters on the back of The Disaster Artist.
