I want to bring attention to a couple of amazing charts from newer users that aren't active on the forums:

kaduphemingsucks

And

splashfoop

Great charts. Could especially relate to kaduphemingsucks' chart, because there's a lot of overlap with mine considering the diversity of both and also a lot of jazz albums in my collection that aren't necessarily on my charts.

(2) use me as a resource for improvised music/jazz (I started at Kind of Blue like everyone else), particularly for the '80s to the present day, which is poorly explored on this site; and (3) this site has helped me grow so much, it's incalculable, and I just want to help other users grow too.

So true that jazz since 1980 is sorely underrepresented on here. Fantastic that you've gotten so much from this site.

Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?

A handful of my genre-specific charts have changed a lot over the past couple weeks/months.

and Black metal chart

Check them out and please leave recommendations

I just updated my 90's chart for the first time since I joined this site.

As always, I make no attempt at objectivity. My charts are equal parts memory, discovery, and an expression of personal taste. Feel free to ask me about anything on the list.

Hope someone finds something new to like.

I got to stop mega updating charts and make this a common thing otherwise I will not be able to see sun for a few days, but for the meanwhile I just updated my Favorite Music to blast out from the top of my lungs and probably won't do it for the rest of the year. Enjoy without prejudice.

so finally got around to expressing my love (and charting it out and visualizing it) of the Blues music I have been obsessed with since a wee lad. I had made that deep country pre-war blues chart back some years ago. and now I have made a chart of 100 electric/post-war albums.

here it is Post-War 'lectric Blues by Mercury

no notes on the albums just yet and still some work to do with fully organizing it and still remembering thinsg every few hours that i should mention or include, and all the notes may be coming. but for now, this is a thing.

number 1 is

I Do Not Play No Rock And Roll by Missi...d McDowell

and number 100 is

Live by Gary Clark, Jr.

and both are great albums. so all the stuff in between is pretty great in my opinion.
